Error Installing on newer Mac models

The Macbook Pro Early/Late 2011 and possibly other Mac models from the time Lion was released can only boot into 10.6.7 - the retail 10.6 or 10.6.3 installer will not work with these models. Try the 10.6.7 installer - if that doesn't work, probably your Mac cannot use Snow Leopard.

Workaround: Use the 10.6.7 (10J3331a) installer with these models.

Error Trackpad not working correctly on Macbook Pro Late 2011

After installing 10.6.7 on an Macbook Pro Late 2011, you may find that the internal Touchpad doesn't support any gestures and performs sluggish.

Workaround: Upgrading to 10.6.8 fixes these issues, as the correct Touchpad driver for the Late 2011 models is only included in 10.6.8.
